MAKHACHKALA, November 27. /ITAR-TASS/. The active phase of the special operation in the Dagestani capital's suburbs is over. Three gunmen are killed, a city law-enforcement source told Itar-Tass.
"Three gunmen are killed. The special operation is over. There was nobody else in the house. The gunmen are preliminarily identified," the source said.
A special operation against gunmen that began in Makhachkala's suburbs, Dagestan, on Tuesday resumed at dawn on Wednesday.
Law enforcers were trying to find out how many gunmen were in the blocked house, the source said.
The counter-terrorist regime was imposed in the village of Novy Khushet, the site of the operation, at 16:30 on Tuesday.
A law-enforcement official in the city told Itar-Tass earlier that three gunmen were killed and nobody was hurt among law-enforcers in the operation that was suspended until Wednesday morning.
