President Napolitano pointed out a very high level of bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic sphere.
“The conversation was very fruitful and meaty,” Peskov said, adding that Putin said discussions of economic issues would continue Tuesday at the Russian-Italian bilateral consultations in Trieste.
Apart from bilateral issues, Putin and Napoletano also raised the situation in Syria and North Africa and touched upon the settlement of the Iranian nuclear problem, Peskov said.
