MOSCOW, November 23, 10:07 /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian government has made a decision on monetary rewards to the athletes depending on their performance at the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.
Athletes will receive four million roubles for a gold medal, 2.5 million roubles for a silver medal and 1.7 million roubles for a bronze medal.
The rewards will be equal to those paid to the Russian athletes for their victories at the XXX Summer Games and the XIV Paralympic Games in 2012 in London.
