KRASNODAR, November 22, 23:17 /ITAR-TASS/. The Russia Today (RT) television channel will launch the first English-language radio, Sochi Today, in December. Sochi Today will broadcast news and foreign music 24 hours a day during the Sochi-2014 Olympic Games.
“Sochi Today will become the first English-language radio station in the city,” a Sochi administration source told Itar-Tass on Friday. The radio channel’s potential audience is expected to exceed three million people, including fans and journalists, during the Sochi games. The radio’s content will consist of music and urgent world news, which will come on air every 30 minutes. RT journalists will write the news for Sochi Today.
Sochi Today will continue operating for foreign tourists after the Sochi Olympic Games.
