STRELNA, November 22. /ITAR-TASS/. President Vladimir Putin has called for thinking over holding a Bilateral Tourism Year in Russia and Turkey.
"Turkey is the country, which is mostly attended by Russian citizens," Putin said in talks with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday.
Turkish citizens are also starting showing interest in travelling to Russia, the Russian president said.
Putin said he saw big opportunities for further expansion of humanitarian contacts between Russia and Turkey.
The Russia-Turkey Public Forum should contribute to developing humanitarian cooperation, the Russian president said.
