MOSCOW, November 21, 17:20 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov has met Cypriot Ambassador in Moscow George Kasoulides to discuss the Cypriot settlement, the Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.
“Gatilov and Kasoulides stressed the need to continue the efforts aimed at agreeing on mutually acceptable parameters of the Cypriot settlement. They discussed the U.N. contribution to the settlement,” the ministry said.
Gatilov confirmed Russia’s commitment “to ensuring lasting peace and resolving the Cypriot issue by dialogue and creating a two-community and two-zone federation with indivisible sovereignty based on U.N. Security Council corresponding resolutions”, the ministry said.
