Russia-EU summit to take place in Brussels January 2014

The summit has been postponed until January 27-28 at EU request

MOSCOW, November 21. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russia-EU summit will take place in Brussels on January 27-28, 2014, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said.

“At the request of the EU the summit has been postponed till January. The summit can’t be held for organisational reasons due to Christmas holidays,” Ushakov said.

Traditionally the Russia-EU summit is held twice a year: in the spring in Russia and in Brussels in December.

“It is not ruled out that Russia may organise the summit on its territory in the first half of 204,” the presidential aide said.
