IZHEVSK, November 19. /ITAR-TASS/. Famous Russian rifle maker Mikhail Kalashnikov, who was taken to the hospital on November 17, will stay at the intensive therapy ward until the end of this week. This was reported by health minister of the Russian Ural republic of Udmurtia Vladimir Muzlov on Tuesday.

“Kalashnikov is undergoing treatment at the intensive therapy ward. Most likely he will undergo treatment until the end of this week. The medics succeeded to stabilize his state of health. He is taking medicines fully, his state of health is stable,” Muzlov noted.

He added that Kalashnikov was diagnosed with stomach blood vessels hemorrhage. “The hemorrhage is suppressed now. It is early to say about his discharge from the hospital. We will monitor the indicators of his state of health,” the minister said.

Famous Russian rifle designer Mikhail Kalashnikov, 94, was taken to the intensive therapy ward of the republican heart diseases centre in Udmurtia’s city of Izhevsk over a worse state of health on November 17.
