Criminal case over kidnapping of teenager opened in Trans-Baikal territory

MOSCOW, November 17, /ITAR-TASS/. A criminal case was opened over the kidnapping of a teenager by the former friend of his sister in Trans-Baikal Territory, Eastern Siberia. The police was informed on Saturday that a 14-year-old boy was kidnapped in the settlement of Kholbon in Shilka district, the Russian Investigative Committee said on Sunday.

“The incident site was searched through, the parents of the kidnapped boy, neighbours and eyewitnesses were questioned. According to available reports, a 26-year-old resident from the settlement of Priiskovaya in Nerchinsk district kidnapped the teenager. The criminal cheated the teenager to get in the car and brought the latter in the unknown direction,” the committee said.

The detectives found that the offender had earlier met with a 20-year-old sister of the boy, but the girl had broken the relations with her boyfriend about a month ago. Meanwhile, the detectives found that the 26-year-old young man had earlier threatened to kill the young woman in an attempt to resume personal relations.

The criminal case was opened over kidnapping of an adolescent.

The detectives and the law enforcers are taking investigative actions and are searching for the kidnapper and the kidnapped boy.
