Russia and Belarus sign readmission agreement

MOSCOW, November 15, 14:06 /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and Belarus have signed a readmission agreement, the Russian Federal Migration Service said on Friday.

The documents were signed within the framework of a meeting of the Council of Chiefs of Migration Services of the CIS Member-States in Minsk. The Russian delegation was led by Federal Migration Service chief Konstantin Romodanovsky.

“The signing of the Russian-Belarusian agreement is an important step towards counteracting illegal migration,” the head o the Federal Migration Service’s citizenship department, Valentina Kazakova, said.
