Serbian president awards Russian deputy prime minister

Dmitry Rogozin awarded for contribution to bilateral cooperation.

MOSCOW, November 14, 17:28 /ITAR-TASS/. President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic has awarded a Walther PPX pistol with a set of 25 cartridges to Russian Vice-premier Dmitry Rogozin "for special contribution to the development of economic cooperation between Serbia and the Russian Federation."

Presidential adviser Predrag Nikic will turn over the present to the Russian vice-premier.

Dmitry Rogozin has long been a friend of Serbia. A year ago Rogozin headed a Russian delegation to talks with the Serbian leadership. The two sides declared at the talks that they were prepared for broad cooperation in the military-technical, law enforcement fields and ammunition production as well. Russia also promised then to help remove mines planted on the Serbian territories.
