MAKHACHKALA, November 8 (Itar-Tass) - Three attackers opened fire and set off the blast in a store in Makhachkala, a Dagestani Interior Ministry source told Itar-Tass.
Three unidentified persons wearing black clothes and without masks opened fire on a salesman and a guard, placed a homemade explosive device and escaped in a white Lada Priora car, the source said.
Police ask Makhachkala residents who have information about the attackers report it to police.
According to the updated information, one died and two were injured when a bomb exploded in a store in Makhachkala on Friday.
A criminal case is opened over the explosion, an official at the Russian Investigative Committee's department in Dagestan told Itar-Tass.
Unknown attackers at about 11:20 Moscow time on Friday went to the "24" food store located at the crossing of Kotrov Street and Yaragsky Street, shot a guard, left an explosive device inside and escaped, the source said.
The guard died. The bomb went off in the store, injuring two people. The building is seriously damaged, the SK official said.
A city law-enforcement source told Itar-Tass that transport traffic was blocked near the store and operatives were examining the site.
The crossing of Yaragsky and Kotrov Streets, where the food store is located, is a busy traffic site. The store was already blasted in August. Sixteen people, including children, were injured in that explosion.
On October 30, explosions in Makhachkala killed one and injured 18 people, including six law-enforcement officers. The next day, two persons who had committed the attack were identified. According to the Russian Investigative Committee's information, the two, 22-year-old Magomedrasul Shakhbanov and 24-year-old Makhmud Aliyev, were members of the Makhachkala group of gunmen.
