MOSCOW, November 5 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said one must not let extremists and terrorists dominate the Middle East.
“One cannot let the Palestinian issue be obscured,” Lavrov said on Tuesday.
“Someone may have an impression that if the blood is shed, you have to wait,” the minister said, adding, “The unsettlement of the Palestinian problem is the only factor, which is used by extremists to recruit accomplices for solving problems by force in detriment to the peaceful settlement.”
Lavrov said, “Serious politicians recognise that the efforts aimed at resolving the Palestinian issue are important for the fate of the region in order to prevent extremists and terrorists from dominating the Middle East .”
