NEW-YORK, November 5. (Itar-Tass) – The suspect in the Paramus shooting has been found dead. Law enforcements have reported that the body of the 20-year-old Richard Shoop was discovered in the basement of the Garden State Plaza Mall. Preliminary data indicates he took his own life.
The shooting incident happened shortly before closing time. Onlookers said that the gunmen wore black and was armed with a rifle. Hundreds of police officers surrounded the building and evacuated people from the mall. A large portion of visitors and staff hid in stores and utility areas.
Garden State Plaza Mall is one of the largest malls in New York’s proximity, housing almost 300 stores.
