MAKHACHKALA, November 11, 10:04 /ITAR-TASS/. A gunman is killed in the shootout with the law enforcers in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in the Russian North Caucasian Republic of Dagestan, a source in the district law enforcement agencies told Itar-Tass on Monday.
“During the anti-terrorist operation in the district the law enforcers tried to stop a car for an identity check, but the fire was opened at the law enforcers from the car. The criminal was killed in the retaliatory fire, the car caught fire in the shootout and burnt down. The killed gunman is being identified,” the source said.
The anti-terrorist operation regime was introduced by the decision of the operations headquarters of Dagestan in the district on Sunday evening.
