MOSCOW, October 27 (Itar-Tass) - The police are searching for the bandits, who were shooting at a road police car, one road police officer died in the shootout, the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

“A road police patrol car with two police inspectors on duty tried to stop a car VAZ-2115, but the driver ignored the demand of the police and escaped at about 01:30 local time (22:30 Moscow time) on Sunday,” the press centre of the ministry reported. The road police began chasing down the car of the bandits. When the car stopped, the road policemen went up to it for an identity check. At this moment a gunshot was made from the car at the police.

“A road policeman has got gunshot wound in the head and his fellow policeman brought him to the hospital. However, without regaining consciousness, he died of wounds,” the press centre reported.

All the police staff in Novosibirsk Region is put on alert to detain a car, which was shooting at the road policemen and the criminals.
