Russia, China end check of western border line

They agreed to establish two boundary signs in addition to other two signs

MOSCOW, October 26 (Itar-Tass) - Russia and China have ended the check of the western border line, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Saturday.

The ministry commented on the results of the 4th session of the working group for the first check of the state border line between Russia and China in the west. The session was held in Gorno-Altaisk in the middle of October.

“The parties worked in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. They agreed to establish two boundary signs in addition to other two signs in order to visually determine the state border line in compliance with the 1999 demarcation,” the ministry said.

“The parties checked how the Russian-Chinese border line passes on its western part,” the ministry said.
