MOSCOW, October 26 (Itar-Tass) - A shop that made explosive devices and suicide bomber belts is destroyed in Dagestan, a source at the information centre of the National Antiterrorism Committee told Itar-Tass.
"During an operative search operation, information was received that there was a shop in a house on Khasavyurt's outskirts, in which gunmen, who were neutralized on Friday, had prepared homemade explosive devices,” the official said,
When examining the house, police and Federal Security Service officers found three homemade explosive devices, ten unfinished suicide bomber belts and number plates for four cars.
Extremist literature and wigs that could be used to change appearance and secretly move to commit terrorist attacks were also found in the house.
The explosive devices were blasted at the site. The explosion destroyed the house with the shop. The ruins were being examined, the NAC source said.
The operation of law enforcement services has prevented a series of terrorist attacks that could take a heavy toll, the official noted.
