RF government to consider IT development strategy, oil market situation

MOSCOW, October 25 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian government at a meeting on Friday will outline prospects for change in one of the most dynamic sectors of the economy - information technologies. The first item on the agenda is the industry’s development strategy for the 2014 - 2020 period and up to 2025.

The Russian government’s press service reported that the approval of the document “will lay the foundations for further activities of the state” in this sphere, as the strategy determines its development goals and ways to achieve them, as well as the risks in the implementation of these plans and their minimisation ways.

The Cabinet will also discuss the state of competition in the oil products market, including the current situation, pricing features, violations of the antitrust laws in this sphere, as well as issues of improving tax legislation and the development of exchange trade in oil products.

The federal ministers also intend to coordinate the issue of the introduction of administrative responsibility for obstructing the management of an apartment house - in particular, the refusal or avoidance of the transfer of technical documentation for an apartment house.

The government will also discuss amendments to the Tax Code that will ease the administrative burden on businesses, reduce the taxpayers’ costs related to the fulfilment of obligations to pay corporate income tax and will help improve the efficiency of the tax system, the press service said.

Other items on the meeting agenda include adjustment of the method of calculation of state corporations’ debt sustainability, limiting the size of compensations and severance payments in connection with the termination of the employment contract for certain categories of employees of state companies, changes in certain elements of the customs regulation.

The Cabinet also plans to form the Council for the promotion of the Russian language, which will work out proposals to improve the state policy in this sphere. The RF government also intends to establish the Coordination Council of the programme of preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
