VLADIKAVKAZ, October 23 (Itar-Tass) - The murder of deputy prosecutor in the Promyshlenny district of Vladikavkaz, the capital of the Russian North Caucasus republic of North Ossetia , Oleg Oziyev, is not considered as an attempt on the life of a law enforcer. The criminal case was opened under two articles of the Criminal Code for murder and illegal circulation of weapons, representative of the North Ossetian investigation department of the Russian Investigative Committee Eduard Gusov told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
Oleg Oziyev, councillor of justice, was shot down by unidentified killers from a submachine gun at about 19 hours Moscow time at the entrance of a residential house in Ardonskaya Street in Vladikavkaz, when he was on the way back home.
The murder in Vladikavkaz is not the first high-profile crime in the North Caucasus on Wednesday. On Wednesday morning, the deputy head of the town authorities who was in charge of taxation was killed in the town of Khasavyurt. Two unidentified killers were shooting at his car from the pistols.
