WASHINGTON, October 22. (Itar-TASS) – U.S. House of Representatives takes leave en bloc, planning to fly out to Florida to pay respects to their deceased colleague. The 82-year-old Republic Charles William Young, who recently passed away in Washington, D.C., represented one of Florida’s electoral districts in the Congress since 1971; he was the oldest member of his faction, thus the parliament wished to honor his memory in this special way. According to Washington Times, legislators will be transported by U.S. Air Force. The Pentagon could not put a price tag on this operation.

The newspaper notes that Congress members did not have a tight schedule anyway: the House of Representative had a schedule for three days, from Tuesday to Thursday. Senators took an eleven-day vacation after agreeing last week to reopen the Federal Government and raise the U.S. debt ceiling.
