Terrorist attack prevented in Kirov region

According to the investigators, the suspects are followers of Wahhabism

MOSCOW, October 15 (Itar-Tass) - A terrorist attack has been prevented in the Kirov Region. Two North Caucasus-born suspects have been detained.

As Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said the two men, aged 19 and 21, have since last September been plotting a terrorist attack at a chemical weapons disposal facility Maradykovsky, in the village of Mirny, the Kirov Region. The terrorist attack might have endangered the lives of hundreds of people.

According to the investigators, the suspects are followers of Wahhabism. Both had arrived in the Kirov Region from Moscow.

They are detained and may be put under arrest.
