Interior Ministry convenes emergency session after rioting in Moscow’s south

Some riot policemen has sought medical assistance

MOSCOW, October 13 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev holds an emergency meeting in connection with the developments in Moscow’s Biryulyovo Zapadnoye district, where a group of young people rioted after a peaceful rally at the site where a 25-year-old man was stabbed to death on Thursday.

“Taking part in it are Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev and the Moscow police chief, Anatoly Yakunin,” acting spokeswoman for the Moscow police, Yelena Kokotova, reported.

She said after the session media would get all information on the developments. Kokotova also said that some riot policemen had sought medical assistance. She could not give their exact number.
