Lavrov: Some countries use Afghan territory for training Syrian rebels

Russia's Foreign Minister added that these countries trained militants to handle toxic agents

MOSCOW, October 11 (Itar-Tass) - Some countries have used the territory of Afghanistan for the training of Syrian rebels and trained them in handling toxic agents, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated on Friday.

“As is known, not so long ago reports appeared, suggesting that third countries have illegally used Afghanistan’s territory that is not controlled by Kabul, to train militants for fighting against the Syrian regime and in handling chemical warfare agents,” he said.
