NALCHIK, October 11 (Itar-Tass) - Police in the Kabardin-Balkar Republic on Thursday defused a powerful bomb with a yield of over two kilograms of TNT, filled with destructive agents, the press service of the republic's police told Itar-Tass.
The bomb was found in a car stopped by police at the entrance to the republic's capital Nalchik. It was defused on the spot. Nobody was hurt.
Police detained two persons who were in the car and are now establishing their identities. According to preliminary information, they are residents of the Tersk region of the republic.
