Russian government to provide over 1 billion roubles to pay compensations to flood-hit Far East

All payments should be made till October 15

MOSCOW, October 10 (Itar-Tass) - Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a resolution to provide immediate financial assistance to the flood-hit Far East, the legal information portal reported on Wednesday, October 9.

The government will provide 1.678.129 billion roubles from the reserve fund to pay compensations for the loss of crops, the legal information portal said.

The premier has instructed the authorities of Yakutia, Primorye and Khararovsk Territories, the Amur and Magadan regions, and the Jewish autonomous region to make up lists of citizens, who lost crops. All payments should be made till October 15, the resolution says.
