MOSCOW, October 9 (Itar-Tass) - The State Duma lower house of the Russian parliament will hear information from Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education and Science, during a Government Hour question-and-answer session here on Wednesday. According to the traditional format, the Minister will speak not on a specific theme but will make a report on the activities of the Ministry as a whole, with due regard, though, for questions referred to him earlier. An Audit Chamber member, who is in charge of the relevant sphere, will also address the House members.

In their questions, lawmakers usually touch upon the entire spectrum of problems connected with Russia's education and science.

The House faction of the LDPR (Liberal Democrats), according to information available to Itar-Tass, is planning to ask Livanov "when science will again become prestigious for young people" and what is being done for the development of mathematical education.
