MOSCOW, October 5 (Itar-Tass) - One people has died, 12 people have been injured and 72 people evacuated during the fire in a dwelling house in the Shchelkovo district, Moscow Region, Emergency Situations Ministry spokeswoman Irina Rossius told Itar-Tass.
The fire occurred in the 16-storey house in the town of Losino-Petrovsky. Power panels were set ablaze from the 3rd to the 12th storeys. “First fire-fighting units arrived three minutes after the call,” Rossius said.
“Unfortunately, one people died during the fire and 12 people have been taken to hospital,” the spokeswoman said, adding, “A total of 72 people have been evacuated.”
At present, the fire had been localised. Fire-fighting and rescue units continue to work on the spot.
