Cash machine with over $280,000 stolen from Moscow pharmacy

“Three unidentified people wearing masks entered the 24-hour pharmacy and placed a wire cable around the machine

MOSCOW, October 2 (Itar-Tass) - A cash machine containing nine million roubles (about $281,000) was stolen from a pharmacy in north-east Moscow on Monday, the police press service told Itar-Tass.

It was taken from the location on Prospekt Mira early on Monday but its owners managed to calculate the missing money only by Tuesday evening.

“Three unidentified people wearing masks entered the 24-hour pharmacy and placed a wire cable around the machine. Then using a minibus, they tore it from its base and pulled it into the street where it was loaded onto a vehicle,” police said.

A criminal case has been opened.
