MOSCOW, October 2 (Itar-Tass) - The investigation has established the identity of the persons involved in the murder of Ingushetia’s Security Council Secretary Akhmed Kotiyev and police officer Ruslan Kotiyev, the press service of Russia’s Investigative Committee told Itar-Tass.
According to investigators, in the morning on August 27, 2013, unknown perpetrators fired multiple shots from automatic firearms of 5.45 and 7.62 mm calibre on the VAZ-211440 car, driven by police officer Ruslan Kotiyev, in front of a house in Shosseinaya Street at the Nizhniye Achaluki settlement in the Malgobek district. Secretary of the Security Council of Ingushetia Akhmet Kotiyev, going to work, was a passenger in the car. Akhmed Kotiyev and the police officer died of gunshot wounds.
“As a result of investigation and search actions conducted jointly by state security and internal affairs officers of the Republic of Ingushetia and North Ossetia, three people involved in the commission of the crime, have been identified. They are residents of the Chechen Republic Artur Dolsayev, born in 1986, as well as Ingushetia residents - Akhmed Yevloyev, born in 1990, and Magomed Polonkoev, born in 1987,” the Investigative Committee said.
At the investigator’s request, Dolsayev has been placed under arrest by a court decision, and Yevloev and Polonkoev have been put on the federal wanted list.
“The main version of the crime is the professional activity of Akhmet Kotiyev on the post of Security Council secretary of the Republic of Ingushetia, including the work aimed at adapting surrendered militants to peaceful life,” the Investigative Committee stressed.
