ASTANA, September 12 (Itar-Tass) - Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia Erlan Idrisov and Sergei Lavrov signed a protocol on the exchange of the instruments of ratification for the ratification of the protocol over the amendments in the bilateral treaty on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance after the talks here on Thursday.
“We discussed a broad scope of issues, including the prospects of Kazakh-Russian cooperation in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. We focused on the measures aimed at building up cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in trade and economic sphere,” Idrisov told a news conference after the negotiations.
The republican foreign minister noted that the meeting was held “in a traditional for Kazakh-Russian relations atmosphere of a friendly and productive exchange of views.”
