Abkhazian secret services circulate identikit of potential killer of Russian diplomat

Murder of Russian diplomat coincided with fifth anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Abkhazia

SUKHUM, September 11 (Itar-Tass) - The secret services of Abkhazia have circulated an identikit of the murderer of the Russian diplomat in Abkhazia, Vice-Consul Dmitry Veshernev.

The identikit shows a man 165-175 centimeters tall, of low or medium weight, with a Slavic type of face, brown eyes, blond hair styled with a low fringe reaching his eyes and a protruded face. He is aged approximately 25-28.

The suspect had dark blue jeans on, a black zipped jacket with a hoop, and a red seam on the zip line. There were letters in red on the front of his jacket.

First secretary of the Russian embassy in Abkhazia Dmitry Veshernev was shot dead in Sukhum- the capital of Abkhazia, on Monday. He died of a gunshot wound in the head. The wife of the killed diplomat, Olga, was seriously wounded in the incident.

The tragedy coincided with the fifth anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Abkhazia.
