NALCHIK, September 10 (Itar-Tass) - Two unidentified assailants hurled grenades at a road-patrol-service car riding by and fled. The incident took place at the intersection of Shogenov and Trade Union streets in a "bedroom" district here on Monday, an officer at the Investigative Committee of Russia's Investigation Directorate for the Kabardino-Balkar Republic told Itar-Tass.
"The incident occurred at 22:30, Moscow time. Traffic police personnel were not hurt. Multiple damage was inflicted on the Service vehiclea," the officer pointed out.
A field investigation group left for the scene of the incident to ascertain the circumstances of the attack. The institution of criminal proceedings is under consideration.
