MOSCOW, September 9 (Itar-Tass) - Final official results of the Sunday election of Moscow’s mayor will be announced on Tuesday, after the Moscow City Election Committee receives all documents from all territorial commission, chairman of the Moscow City Election Committee Valentin Gorbunov told a news conference on Monday.
“The elections were held in one round,” he said. After official results are published, the Moscow City Election Committee will issue a mayor’s certificate to the winner.
Gorbunov thanked Moscow’s residents for their active participation in the elections. He added that the turnout in Moscow was among the highest in the Central federal district.
According to official data, the turnout at the elections of the Moscow mayor was 32.07%.
