MOSCOW, September 5 (Itar-Tass) - It is impossible to consider the future of the Middle East region by ignoring Iran’s position, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russia Today Channel on Thursday.
“We understand that one more war in the region makes Iran’s position tenser. Iran is a very important country in the region. I’d say Iran is an important regional power,” Peskov said.
Russia’s approaches towards the situation in the region “should be diplomatically correct and weighty. The creation of a misbalance can grow tension”, the spokesman said.
