PM takes charge of commission for use of information technology for improving life quality

According to a relevant executive order signed by Medvedev, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich was appointed deputy chairman of the commission

MOSCOW, September 5 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has taken charge of the government commission for the use of information technology to improve the quality of life and the business environment, it is said on the official website of the RF Cabinet.

According to a relevant executive order signed by Medvedev, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich was appointed deputy chairman of the commission. Other commission members are, in particular, Deputy Prime Minister - chief of the RF government staff Sergei Prikhodko, RF Minister Mikhail Abyzov, Justice Minister Alexander Konovalov and Education and Science Minister Dmitry Livanov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov and Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev, acting Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The government said that the commission would coordinate the activities of federal and regional bodies of authority on issues related to making their work more open and getting feedback from citizens and organisations; on ensuring competitiveness of the economy and improving the business environment through the application of information technologies; on improving the quality of education, medical care, social protection of the population, promotion of the development of culture and mass media based on information technology.
