Azarov: Ukraine ready to join any agreement within Customs Union

Ukraine’s government should decide what agreements the country can join within the Customs Union in order to ease the trade regime

KIEV, September 4 (Itar-Tass) - Ukraine’s government should decide what agreements the country can join within the Customs Union in order to ease the trade regime, Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov said on Wednesday.

The government should discus measures “to join the agreement on removing barriers with the CIS countries, which are not members of the Customs Union”, Azarov said.

“This is a very important document because the Customs Union envisions a possibility to join technical regulations of states, which are not members of the Customs Union. It also envisions certain procedures in this aspect,” the Prime Minister said.

Thus, Azarov instructed the ministries to prepare proposals on joining the agreement and submit it to the government.
