Russia, Georgia discuss future relations after Georgian presidential election

MOSCOW, September 2 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and the Georgian prime minister’s special representative for relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze discussed the preparation of a new dialogue meeting between the two countries in late September.

During the telephone conversation on Monday, September 2, Karasin and Abashidze also discussed practical aspects of bilateral relations, including prospects for the development of Russian-Georgian ties after the upcoming presidential election in Georgia slated for October, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
