BRICS leaders to meet on sidelines of G20 summit in St. Petersburg

MOSCOW, September 2 (Itar-Tass) - The leaders of the BRICS states (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) will meet on the sidelines of a G20 summit in St. Petersburg, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after the meeting with his visiting South African counterpart Maite Nkoana-Mashabane here on Monday.

“We discussed the tasks, which our leaders will consider, and agreed to continue foreign political cooperation between the BRICS states and at the U.N. General Assembly in New York closer to the end of this month,” the minister added.
