VLADIVOSTOK, August 31 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said Yuri Trutnev would be appointed as vice-premier and presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.
"For the work (to deal with the flood consequences) to be organized properly, a government commission will be formed. We have agreed on this with the government chairman. The commission will be headed by Trutnev Yuri Petrovich, who will be appointed for the post of deputy government chairman of the RF and at the same time presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District," Putin said.
Viktor Ishayev was presidential envoy to the region before.
