Airplane from India makes emergency landing at Domodedovo airport

MOSCOW, August 27 (Itar-Tass) - A passenger airplane from New Delhi has made an emergency landing at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport on Tuesday, no people were hurt, the press service of the transport police department in the Central Federal District told Itar-Tass.

The report about an emergency landing of the airplane on a flight from New Delhi to New York came at 03:50 Moscow time in the alert force of the transport police department at the airport, the press service reported. The malfunction of a central accumulator unit caused the emergency landing.

“The airplane landed in the routine mode. The airplane was carrying 16 crewmembers and 267 passengers. No casualties or injured people sustained, no visual damages of the airplane were found,” the press service said.

The police noted that the passengers are staying at the sterile zone, after passing all formalities with the documents they will continue their flight.
