SEOUL, August 20 (Itar-Tass) - South Korea will conduct a nationwide civil defense drill to counter threats from North Korea, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reported on Tuesday.

The drill that is scheduled for Wednesday will imitate an air raid from the North. At the same time, road traffic throughout the country, except express freeways, the subway and railways, will be restricted, and pedestrians will be asked to take cover at nearby air raid shelters, subway stations or other designated underground facilities.

The coming drill will be part of the annual emergency training for employees of government agencies that continues until August 22.
