MOSCOW, August 14. /ITAR-TASS /. Moscow mayoral candidate Nikolai Levichev /A Just Russia political party/ has lodged a complaint in Moscow City Election Committee upon illegal campaigning in favor of another candidate – Alexei Navalny.

Around 2 tons of printed materials without output data of Navalny’s campaign office have been delivered to Moscow City Election Committee. These were leaflets and stickers without any data about number of copies printed, printing house name and issue date, although this information is obligatory on campaigning materials.

“An actual clandestine campaign office of the candidate has been discovered, and this candidate claims he is fighting corruption,” Levichev said.

“Thank you for letting know, we’ll look into the case,” head of Moscow City Election Committee Valentin Gorbunov answered.

Gorbunov assured that Levichev’s claim would be examined in the nearest time.

What happened in the flat on Chistoprudny Boulevard

The campaign materials have been found in a flat on Chistoprudny Boulevard, Moscow, on Tuesday night. The police visited the scene after receiving a message from Levichev’s assistant. He reported that illegal campaign materials were kept in the flat. After that an inspection was carried out and the print materials were confiscated.

Four people delivered from the flat to the police department will be held administratively liable.

Revenge to A Just Russia

The official web page of A Just Russia party was down overnight August 13-14. As the party’s spokesperson said, it happened as a result of a DDoS-attack from thousands of different IP addresses.

A Just Russia representatives link the incident with searches in the flat on Chistoprudny Boulevard. The party is set to approach law-enforcement authorities and identify the attackers.
