Russian, North Korean diplomats discuss Korean Peninsula situation

MOSCOW, August 13 (Itar-Tass) - Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov has met with North Korean ambassador to Russia Kim Yong Jae to discuss the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

Russian diplomats keep a close watch on the Korean Peninsula’s tense situation. In early July North Korean First Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan visited Moscow to discuss the state of affairs in the region with Russian senior officials.

The head of South Korea’s delegation to the six party talks on North Korea’s nuclear problem, Cho Tae Yong, is expected to visit Russia on August 14, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
