MOSCOW, August 8 (Itar-Tass) - Rosatom Corporation head Sergei Kiriyenko said China was Russia’s key future competitor on the world nuclear market.

Speaking at the 1st Annual Nuclear Construction Conference on Thursday, Kiriyenko said: “We won our key competitors - the U.S., France and Japan.”

However, he said: “Time will pass and we’ll have to compete with Chinese reactors.”

“Our priority is to ensure security, quality and reliability of all units of the nuclear sector,” Kiriyenko said.

The conference involved representatives of Rosatom’s engineering and design companies, including specialists of contractor organizations, which dealt with nuclear facilities. The forum is organized by Rosenergoatom and Atomenergoproject.
