KIEV, August 6 (Itar-Tass) - The Ukrainian delegation has expressed readiness to start talks with Russia on resumption of Roshen’s candy supplies, Ukrainian First Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Anatoly Maksyuta said on Tuesday.

“We are confident that the talks on lifting a ban on the export of Ukraine’s confectionary products to Russia should take place soon. We’ve filed an official request to the Russian side and now are waiting for its decision,” he said.

“The start of talks will become the first step towards resolving this important issue and creating mechanisms to prevent such situations in the future,” he said.

The ministry recalled that earlier Kiev addressed to the Russian consumer rights’ watchdog to urgently hold a meeting on this issue.
