MOSCOW, August 5 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s Defence Ministry will take part in ensuring security of the upcoming winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
Speaking at a video conference on Monday, Shoigu said: “The Defence Ministry will play an important role in ensuring security of the Olympic Games. The Black Sea forces are involved in organizing security.”
“Certain facilities, which will allow us to ensure security, are being built. Our task is to put them into operation in time,” the minister stressed.
