BANGKOK, August 5 (Itar-Tass) - A bomb exploded in a Buddhist temple in western Jakarta, one person is wounded, the local police reported on Monday.

The police say the explosion went off on Sunday evening. On searching the temple’s area, the police found another explosive device with a clockwork mechanism, which did not go off.

Local authorities fear the incident may cause an outbreak of sectarian violence in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world with a population of over 251 million people, of whom 87 percent are followers of Islam, and the share of Buddhists is under one percent.
