Russian team takes 3rd place in FINA World Championships

The first place was taken by American athletes, who won 33 medals

BARCELONA, August 5 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian national team won the third place in the unofficial team scoring in the World Aquatics Championships, which ended in Barcelona on Sunday. The Russian team won a total of 19 medals - nine gold, six silver and four bronze medals.

The first place was taken by American athletes, who won 33 medals (15-9-9), the Chinese team is second with 26 medals (14-8-4).

A total of 60 sets of medals were contested - in synchronised swimming, diving, open water swimming, high-diving, water polo and swimming. Representatives of 31 countries have won at least one medal at the championships.
