Putin dissatisfied with results of anti-corruption efforts

We are not satisfied with the quality of the governance and the current political system, Russian President said

SELIGER, Tver region, August 2 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday he was dissatisfied with the results of anti-corruption campaign and with the quality of work of some state officials.

“There are many such problems,” he said at a meeting with participants in the Seliger-2013 youth forum. “The first one is the results of the anti-corruption efforts. Corruption erodes society and the state system. It is behind low incomes of the population. It is behind the poor development of infrastructure which determines the development of the economy in general. It is behind many problems of regional development. We are not satisfied with the quality of the governance and the current political system.”

“These problems are co-related,” he added.
